This Services Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms and conditions governing your access to the GOV Medics website and services. By accessing GovMedics.com, browsing products, or submitting a Request for Quote (RFQ), you agree to comply with these terms.

1. About GOV Medics & Founders

GOV Medics is co-founded by Trishen Govender and Karishma Govender—combining fintech business expertise with healthcare and physiotherapy experience. The company aspires to be South Africa’s most trusted supplier of medical equipment across diverse industries govmedics.com

2. Agreement Acceptance

Use of the Site, including browsing products, submitting quote requests, or communicating with the team, signifies acceptance of this Agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

3. RFQ-Based Sales Model

  • GOV Medics operates an ecommerce-style site with no direct purchasing.
  • You may browse categories, Stethoscopes, Thermometers, Gloves, Gauze, Blades, etc, and submit an RFQ via the basket.
  • Upon submission, we will send a formal quote via email with pricing and delivery details.
  • Quotes are valid for 14–30 days unless stated otherwise.
  • A binding agreement arises only when you accept the quote in writing and we confirm the order.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices on the website are indicative and may change upon formal quoting.
  • Prices exclude VAT, delivery, and import duties unless specified.
  • Full upfront payment is required prior to dispatch unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payments via EFT or bank transfer as per invoice.
  • Late payments incur interest at 1.5% per month.

5. Delivery & Risk

  • Delivery timelines and costs are confirmed in the accepted quote.
  • Risk transfers to you once goods are handed to the courier or collected.

6. Returns & Refunds

  • Because of product sensitivity, all sales are final, except for items that are faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.
  • Claims must be made within 7 business days of delivery.
  • Goods must be unused, sealed, and in original packaging.
  • Refunds are processed within 30 business days after inspection.
  • Delivery fees are non-refundable unless due to our error.

7. Non‑Refundable Deposits

For custom, bulk, or reserved orders, we may require a deposit. These deposits are non-refundable, covering initial procurement and administrative efforts.

8. Cancellations & Amendments

  • You may cancel before accepting the quote—no penalty applies.
  • After acceptance and order processing begins, cancellations may incur costs and may not qualify for refunds.
  • GOV Medics reserves the right to cancel if the client breaches terms or fails to pay.

9. Client Obligations

Clients are responsible for:

  • Accurate company, delivery, and contact information
  • Reviewing and approving quotes before acceptance
  • Timely payment and communication
  • Compliance with regulations for medical equipment use

10. Privacy & POPIA Compliance

  • We collect only necessary data to process RFQs, orders, and communications.
  • All personal information is protected under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
  • Data is never sold or shared with unauthorised third parties.
  • You may request access or deletion by emailing privacy@govmedics.com

11. Intellectual Property

All site content, product listings, images, graphics, and design, is owned or licensed by GOV Medics. Copying, adapting, or distributing this content without permission is prohibited.

12. Site Use Rules

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for illegal or harmful activity
  • Attempt unauthorised access to systems
  • Upload false, misleading, or malicious content
  • Impersonate others

Breaching these terms may result in suspension of your access.

13. Liability Limitation

  • The Site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
  • GOV Medics is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Total liability is capped at the value of your specific order.
  • We’re not responsible for delays from suppliers, couriers, or external services.

14. Dispute Resolution

  • Parties will seek amicable resolution first.
  • If unresolved, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Gauteng courts in South Africa.

15. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Gauteng.

16. Updates to Terms

We may periodically update these Terms; updated versions will be published on our Site. Continued use after updates constitutes your consent to the revised terms.
